Harrah's, owner of the World Series of Poker has announced that they are swapping dates for two of the events at this years WSOP.
The biggest switch up is the $50,000 buy-in World Championship HORSE event, which was originally scheduled to start at noon on Sunday, June 22, is now set to begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 25. The $2,500 buy-in 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball contest originally scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. June 25 is now set to start at noon on June 22.
Apparently these changers were made to allow ESPN more film converge of the HORSE event. ESPN wail most likely air the footage in July of 2008, which is months earlier then previous years.
The 39th edition of the WSOP will run from May 30 through July 16, 2008, and will include 55 bracelet tournaments. Buy-ins for open events will range from $1,000 to $50,000. The buy-in for the Main Event will remain at $10,000. The full event schedule is at www.worldseriesofpoker.com. |
