Many people do not know
that Clonie Gowen's real
name is Cycalona Gowen,
but has been known as
Clonie nearly her whole
life. Clonie was born
and raised in Kiowa,
Oklahoma, USA. She was a
very skilled athlete in
basketball and Track and
Field in her high school
years.
Clonie started her poker
career playing in
Dallas, Texas. She was
entering small
tournaments and started
making money at it. Her
first big score was when
she made the final table
at the World Poker Tour
Costa Rica Classic.
After this event she
received an invitation
to the World Poker Tour
ladies event which took
place in 2003. Clonie
Gowen took first place
and beat out Annie Duke
and Jennifer Harman plus
other professional women
players. After this she
made 2 more television
appearances in 2005,
placing 7th
in the $2000 NL Ultimate
Poker Challenge and 3rd
in the Full Tilt Poker
Championship in Vegas.
Clone Gowen is very active
in the poker community, she
is part owner of Full Tilt
Poker and rights columns for
major poker magazines. You
will find Clonie Gowen
playing at the all the major
tournaments and on Full Tilt
Poker.com
